Microsite: 2022 Impact of PCV’s new Restorative Capital & Good Jobs Strategy
Role: Copywriter, Creative Director, Project Manager
Pacific Community Ventures (PCV) is an impact investor supporting small business owners and their communities in the fight for economic, racial, and gender justice. PCV works alongside growing small business leaders and solopreneurs through its integrated model, combining impact-first Restorative Capital and Pro Bono Business Advising with the Good Jobs Innovation Lab.
PCV needed to refresh its brand image to align with its evolving mission and values. The challenge was to develop a brand refresh that effectively communicated PCV's purpose and highlighted its commitment to empowering communities. The previous year's Impact Report was a static PDF and lacked dynamic engagement. The 2021 report didn't reflect the community's vibrancy or present data and stories compellingly. The goal was to evolve the brand and ensure the new report captured community diversity and energy while engaging audiences. The 2022 Impact Report unveiling provided the perfect opportunity for this transformation.
Brand Identity Evolution: Develop a new brand identity resonating with PCV's target audience while conveying its core values and impact-oriented focus.
Showcasing Impact: Utilize the 2022 Impact Report to spotlight PCV's achievements, success stories of supported businesses, and positive transformations within served communities.
Engaging Stakeholders: Ensure the new brand identity and impact report resonate with diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, community members, and fellow impact-driven entities.
To make the concept of Restorative Capital more accessible, transparent, and relevant to all priority audiences, we aimed to highlight PCV's unique strategy by demonstrating how PCV is an inclusive ally and courageous co-creator of wealth for BIPOC entrepreneurs.
PCV may create a visual representation of its brand that effectively expresses its tone, voice, and personality by categorizing the material of the 2022 Impact Report into four categories:
Restorative Investement
Ecosystem Partner
Strategic Positioning
Thought Leader
increase in website visitors
increase in email open rates
increase in 2023 fundraising efforts
The strategic evolution of PCV's brand identity and the impactful 2022 Impact Report demonstrate the organization's commitment to change-making.
By illustrating real-world outcomes and the ripple effects of their initiatives, PCV illuminates its journey towards economic equity and social justice. This transformation is a cornerstone of PCV's ongoing empowerment and community upliftment narrative.
